We form and pour concrete steps that come out even tread to tread, and we build retaining walls in standard block or segmental Keystone block to hold a bank back off a driveway, a patio or a pad. A retaining wall is a drainage problem before it is a stacking problem — water behind a wall is what pushes it over, so ours get backfilled and drained instead of just built.
